For 2 years Seattle Stories worked at Aurora Commons. We were commissioned to shoot videos for their annual Aurora Means Dawn spring benefits.

Seattle Stories had the honor of producing the Aurora Commons benefit video shown at their 2026 spring gala, Aurora Means Dawn, alongside a series of portraits of neighbors who call the Commons home. The time spent there became a rich period of connection, listening, and witnessing the dignity of people’s stories.

Seattle Stories had the honor of collaborating with Aurora Commons on their latest fundraising event, Aurora Means Dawn, held on Saturday, March 8, 2025. During the event, we showcased over 50 images and presented two videos, including this one. Over the past year, this partnership and sponsorship have been deeply meaningful, allowing us to continue humanizing our marginalized neighbors in the Seattle area.

This video captures the energy, love, and unwavering support that Aurora Commons provides to our community where everyone is welcomed with open arms - we belong to each other.

Meet Mike, now housed, stable, and clean. Seattle Stories produced this video for Aurora Commons benefit shown at their 2026 Aurora Means Dawn event alongside a series of portraits of neighbors who call the Commons home. This is part of his story.
